Easel Card

So, here is my first attempt at an easel card.  Haha!  I love the cards and really enjoyed putting it together.  No instructions, by the way, only saw a picture and thought I could recreate it.  I think next time I will read the instructions, though!

I used the stamp set called “Cutting Garden” from PTI.  I’ve used the leaves and the other flower stamps but I hadn’t used this one in particular.  I like it!  I only need to get my creativity flowing to make something pretty with it.  The sentiment is from the “Spring Woods” stamp set and it’s covered by Wink of Stella, along with the entire flower and its foliage.

Next time I make one of these I will have to measure and make the fold in a different place.  In this one, I didn’t leave enough space for a long message.  I guess if you keep the message short and sweet it will work too!

The stitched rectangle die I used for the pink background is from Lawn Fawn and the white sitched wonky die is from MFT.  It’s my new favorite!

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!  Go get crafty!

Sending Get Well Wishes

I hope everyone is having a great Wednesday.  It’s been overcast all day for me, but at least it’s not cold!  I can’t wait for more Summer weather!  Now, if only the hubs can finish putting the grill together… otherwise, I may just have to do it myself!  I love spending time outside!

Anyway, what was I going to write?  Oh yes, the card!  For this card I used Papertrey Ink’s Make It Market Kit, Don’t Forget to Write, and some lovely inks as well as the largest Wonky Stitched Rectangle Die from My Favorite Things.

I am absolutely in-love with this kit.  There are so many ways to use it!  And the stamp pads from MFT… oh my… I just L.O.V.E.  They stamp so nicely.  The dark blue is not from MFT and as you can see, it’s the one that stamped kind of blotchy.  I ordered eight stamp pads to begin and I don’t regret it.  So, I ordered another batch yesterday!

I love combining inks, dies and anything else I can think of, from different companies, for a creative twist! I tried to get a good picture of the word “Sending” as it is covered with Wink of Stella.  I think I did three layers.  Ha!  It’s sparkles beautifully in person.

Here is the inside of the card.  A little flower bouquet at the top, left corner.  Isn’t it sweet looking?!  I can’t wait to play some more with this kit!  The possibilities are endless!

As always, thank you for stopping by!  Come back soon!
